This position is eligible for a hybrid work schedule, which includes the ability to work from home, while also requiring to be in person as needed at our Lakeside and/or Clayton Corporate HQ campus locations in St. Louis, Missouri.

Responsibilities

As a member of the EFM IT Portfolio Management Office (PMO) team, you will be responsible for delivering mission-critical projects and technologies in support of our business objectives. Here, you will have the opportunity to work across varying levels of stakeholders within the infrastructure and application development disciplines on projects of varying scope and scale. As an IT Project Manager 2, you will have the opportunity to collaborate with senior leaders while leading complex IT projects that support and advance the way we do business. The scope of your role will include planning, guiding, coordinating, and monitoring activities of one or more project teams involved in the discovery, design, build, rollout, and transition of IT initiatives. You will collaborate with project sponsors to define the project scope and objectives, identify required skills and resources for the project team, develop detailed work plans, and provide project status updates. You will be responsible for anticipating and identifying project issues, risks and dependencies, recommending solutions, and working with senior management to implement solutions. This is an excellent opportunity to utilize strong leadership, communication, and relationship building skills.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the entire project life-cycle (discovery through closeout) for moderate to highly complex projects
  • Facilitate the planning process, including creation and ongoing management of the project plan
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to define the project scope for moderate to highly complex projects; modify work plans to reflect approved scope change requests, communicate changes to project team, and support solutioning; identify and manage cross project dependencies, including risks and issues; escalate as needed
  • Demonstrate and promote detailed knowledge of project management standardized practices and processes; challenge status quo when changes are needed for individual project success; make recommendations to improve established practices and processes
  • Create and deliver communications, ensuring stakeholders and project team have accurate information to make project-related decisions; provide updates when needed for cross-project dependencies
  • Build, analyze, and communicate stakeholder and project-level status reports; provide executive-level read outs on report findings
  • Track and project projections, baseline, and financials (actuals, ETC, EAC, forecast, variance manage, invoicing and time tracking)
  • Create a team atmosphere, share timely feedback, drive and inspire teams to reach goals; informally coach and mentor others, and provide instruction and guidance to less senior team members as needed
  • Collaborate with IT managers to determine project resource needs and time requirements; request resources as needed. Delegate tasks to project resources, ensuring resources are being fully utilized; escalate resource constraints
  • Manage the integration of vendor tasks, including monitoring deliverables and vendor accountability; escalate as needed. May support vendor selection
  • Lead quality assurance audits and manage ongoing quality control; conduct interim and post-project reviews, logging lessons learned
  • Understand key business drivers and build broader knowledge of Enterprise Mobility, its processes, customers, and the industry

Qualifications

Required:

  • Must be presently authorized to work in the U.S. without a requirement for work authorization sponsorship by our company for this position now or in the future
  • Must reside in St. Louis, Missouri, or immediate surrounding area
  • 5+ years’ industry experience in IT project management or related professional field
  • Experience leading teams using Agile, Waterfall, and Iterative methodologies and tools
  • Experience in applying a resource management model to manage the resources and projects in the portfolio, including vendor management
  • Experience leading a variety of IT projects, i.e. application development, infrastructure, etc.
  • Proven experience successfully managing multiple concurrent end-to-end projects on time and within budget
  • Understanding of computer system concepts, i.e., servers, storage, database, middleware, and networking
  • Must be committed to incorporating security into all decisions and daily job responsibilities

Preferred:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Management Information Systems, or related field preferred

  • PMP certification is preferred
