Overview

ABOUT THE ROLE          

This is a fantastic opportunity for a detail-oriented individual to make a difference on the Corporate Benefits team. The Benefits Specialist is responsible for managing Health and Welfare benefit plans, building relationships with internal and external partners, and serving as a resource for HR. This role will develop best practices, analyze data, review regulatory rules and guidance, and monitor business requirements and compliance for our North American benefits programs. As a member of the Corporate Benefits team, this individual also will be involved in the development of benefits materials and communications and contribute to the overall efficiency of benefits administration and department operations.

This role is located at the Enterprise Mobility Corporate Headquarters in Clayton, MO.

Responsibilities

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Benefits Administration

  • Interpret employee benefit programs, administrative processes, and policies
  • Provide ongoing support to research and resolve benefit-related issues
  • Assist in the development and drafting of best practices, processes and policies
  • Administer leave of absence benefit terminations
  • Maintain confidentiality of employee and benefits data, ensuring HIPAA compliance

Relationship & Contract Management

  • Build and maintain relationships with internal and external partners
  • Attend relevant vendor and partner meetings
  • Facilitate and review RFPs, amendments, SOWs, and contract renewals

Compliance & Documentation

  • Review and ensure proper record retention of benefits materials and compliance documents (SPDs, SBCs, SARs)
  • Compile data and submit required forms and filings with state and federal agencies
  • Respond to legal requests for documents
  • Maintain documentation in accordance with established policies
  • Monitor developments in benefits compliance and administration

Reporting & Analysis

  • Monitor and analyze reports and key metrics
  • Propose recommendations for cost savings and plan optimization
  • Prepare monthly reports summarizing projects and relevant plan and benefits information

Process Improvement & Communication

  • Contribute to improvements in benefit plan designs, processes, initiatives, reporting, and communications
  • Assist in development and review of benefits communications and materials
  • Support internal electronic resources and enhance employee experience

Appeals & Issue Resolution

  • Research, analyze, and support administrative appeals
  • Draft and maintain documentation related to appeals and resolutions

Qualifications

Required:

  • Must have a Bachelor’s Degree
  • Must have 3+ years’ experience managing Health and Welfare benefits for corporations with 1,000+ employees
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States and not require work authorization sponsorship by our company for this position now or in the future

Preferred:

  • Certified Employee Benefits Specialist (CEBS) certification
