As an IT Manager in Rental Operations Shared Services, you will lead a team of Rental Release Managers in a fast-paced environment. You will manage a team responsible for planning, directing, coordinating, and monitoring activities that support releasing Rental Operations Solutions to Production. These rental systems directly impact the overall rental customer experience in North America and Europe. The rental area includes existing applications as well as a suite of new applications under development and being implemented. This team plays an important role in supporting business critical rental solutions and collaborating with business, help desk and various IT teams to identify, triage and remediate issues. You will also be responsible for developing release metrics and report on the quality of release processes. Here, you will have an opportunity to make a direct impact to the stability of our rental systems and shape future release processes. As a leader in this department, you will manage a team that collaborates across Rental to ensure quality processes are adhered to when deploying code into the Production environment. You have the opportunity to coach a high performing team and identify opportunities to innovate current processes while maintaining strong stakeholder relationships and focus on operational excellence and release consistency across Rental. There will be a focus for anticipating process changes and improvements while preparing team members for the transformation underway. You will lead your team to identify dependencies, problem solve roadblocks, provide succinct communication to stakeholders, and be key partners to teams across the Rental arena.
Additional responsibilities will include collaborating with other IT teams to understand cross-solution dependencies, assessing issues and recommending prioritization, and identifying resourcing needs. You will lead and provide guidance for your team's release efforts, identify and resolve roadblocks, determine timelines, raise risks, and identify solutions. You will partner with leadership to enhance processes, determine strategy, and identify improvements to increase the department's overall effectiveness and efficiency. You will be managing the work of staff augmentation contractors as well as full-time employees. You will be responsible for performance management of your team including managing, coaching, and developing your team, training, interviewing, hiring, and performing salary reviews.
As one of 3 functions in the newly established Rental Shared Services department, leading the Release Management team provides great visibility and impact to overall Rental success.
This individual will at times need to work nights or weekends to support their team in case of emergencies or critical issues. The team maintains a flexible work schedule to try and maintain a 40-hour work week.
