The Enterprise brand of Enterprise Mobility has an exciting opportunity for a Diesel Truck TechnicianThe Diesel Truck Technician is a skilled position that requires the ability to perform bus and medium duty diesel truck mechanical and warranty repairs, as well as diagnose and troubleshoot durability problems, according to company policy and procedures.This is a position of routine difficulty requiring the exercise of reasonable judgment and initiative. This position requires the technician to have a minimum of four company approved ASE Certifications or OEM training/certification in order to perform warranty repairs.

Starting pay with a minimum of (4) current L1-L8 ASE’s OR equivalent OEM training/certification is $30.00 / hr., plus additional $1 / hour for any remaining current L1-L8 ASE certifications.

This position pays an hourly rate, we are not a flat rate environment! 

Plus a yearly tool allowance of $500!

 

Apart from religious observations must be able to work the following schedule:

Sunday - Thursday 2:00 PM - 10:30 PM

Responsibilities

We are hiring now for immediate openings.  Responsibilities include:

  • Ensure that all warranty and mechanical repairs are completed according to the manufacturer’s specifications and guidelines.
  • Provide safe and reliable vehicles upon completion of repairs.
  • Perform routine and annual DOT required repairs and inspections.
  • Read and interpret diagnostic test results, often by using dials, gauges, and other computer equipment.
  • Raise trucks and heavy parts or equipment by using hydraulic jacks or hoists.
  • Inspect brake systems, steering mechanisms, transmissions, engines, and other parts of vehicles.
  • Do routine maintenance, such as changing oil, checking batteries, and lubricating equipment and parts.
  • Maintain vehicle repair history by documenting a Repair Order to accurately reflect steps taken and part(s) used during the repair.
  • Comply with part and inventory tracking procedures.
  • Utilize multiple manufacturers’ websites, software and diagnostic tools.
  • May process new fleet, LOFR, tires, fuel reclamation or buy-backs.
  • Participate in company and manufacturer approved training or other industry related training.
  • Maintain the work area in a safe, clean condition and comply with all uniform and equipment standards. 
  • Maintain a regular and reliable level of attendance and punctuality
  • Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.
  • Follow proper procedures to comply with health, safety, and environmental standards.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of two years of mechanical experience working on medium duty trucks.
  • Must have diesel related OEM training/Certification OR 4 current and valid ASE (L1 -L8) certifications
  • Degree in Automotive Technology, Completion of Automotive Technical College or Technical/vocational training preferred. 
  • Must have a current and valid driver's license with a good driving record, no more than 2 at-fault accidents or moving violations in the past 3 years (1 of the 2 violations or at-fault accidents must fall off within 12 months of employment).
  • Ability to operate manufacturer diagnostic equipment.
  • Must be able understand, read, write, and speak English.
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States and not require work authorization sponsorship by our company for this position now or in the future.
  • No drug or alcohol related convictions on driving record within the past 5 years (DUI/DWI).
  • Subject to a pre-employment drug test and if hired, will be subject to random drug and alcohol testing.
