Overview

Enterprise Commute Division is looking for a Part Time Driver to join our amazing team!  In this role you will deliver vehicles to customers, employees or vendors safely and timely to the appropriate destination(s) while giving helpful, courteous and professional customer service. Vehicle preparation, including cleaning the interior and exterior, will be required.

 

This position pays $16 / hour and is located at 575 Marina Blvd San Leandro, CA 94577.

  • Monday: Off
  • Tuesday: Off
  • Wednesday: 7:30am - 4:00pm

  • Saturday: Off

Responsibilities

The Commute Driver is responsible for the transporting of fleet cars, vans, and trucks to and from various locations, as well as navigating written directions, and performing administrative duties.

  • Drive and deliver vehicles locally or out of area as needed, following all rules of the road.
  • Clean and prepare Commute vehicles prior to deliveries.
  • Deliver customers and vehicles to appropriate destination in a safe and courteous manner.
  • Ride with or follow another driver to drop off vehicle(s) or pick up multiple vehicles.
  • Organize travel route and ensure vehicle paperwork is accurate and timely.
  • May need to communicate via 2-way radio or cellular phone.
  • Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.
  • Data entry as needed (enter customer applications and forms, update routes and rosters in operating system.

  • Filling and administrative organization as needed.
  • Will be responsible for detailing and disinfecting vehicles.

Working Conditions/ Equipment Used:

  • Work environment involves moderate exposure to hazards or physical risks, which requires following basic safety requirements, including road rules and facility regulations.
  • Work is performed outside in all types of weather and temperatures and in a typical office environment.
  • Ability to perform light duty labor which requires handling of objects up to 10 pounds as well as the ability to walk through large parking facilities, ability to sit for long periods of time and ability to get in and out of any size medium duty truck, cargo van, heavy duty pickup truck.
  • Moderate exposure to unusual elements such as temperature, dirt, dust, fumes, smoke, unpleasant odors and/or loud noises, which may vary based on location.
Additional Responsibilities:
  • Clean and sanitize vehicle interior per Complete Clean Pledge standards.
  • Vacuum and prepare vehicle interior per Complete Clean Pledge standards.
  • Wash, clean and dry the vehicle's exterior - this might include cars of different sizes, as well as vans and trucks.
  • Seek to improve job performance through self-assessment, skill development, training and goal setting.
  • Maintain a regular and reliable level of attendance and punctuality.
  • Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States and not require work authorization sponsorship by our company for this position now or in the future.
  • This position requires a valid drivers license.

Commute employees are subject to DOT pre-employment drug testing as well as random drug and alcohol testing as regulated by the Federal Transit Authority.
