Responsibilities

The Information Security Office has an exciting opportunity for an IT Manager! In this role you will directly influence the organization’s resiliency & recovery landscape being primarily responsible for creation, maintenance, guidance, implementation, and certification of recovery time objectives and recovery point objectives. 

 

A successful candidate will be a driven, organized, effective collaborator and communicator, who can effectively translate business impact risk assessments into technical requirements and common terminology.  In this role, you will collaborate often with both IT and business personnel.   Additionally, you will participate in risk and compliance activities within the Information Security Office as demands allow.

 

As a Manager over IT Recovery & Resiliency, you will: 

  • Be responsible for leading, coaching, and mentoring a results oriented team
  • Maintain an environment where your employees feel included, valued, and supported
  • Build and develop integrated and high performing teams
  • Develop, maintain, and execute validation and certification of technology recovery
  • Effectively and professionally collaborate with business personnel and IT stakeholders to keep recovery time objectives and recovery point objectives “ever green”
  • Maintain a thorough understanding of the company’s security posture, capabilities, risk acceptance/aversion, and stakeholders
  • Provide subject matter expertise for technology recovery strategies
  • Stay current with security trends, specifically related to cyber security threats and technology resiliency and recovery
  • Align departmental work with other information security and IT initiatives 
  • Establish KPIs, identify opportunities, and improve processes
  • Build strong relationships across our Global IT teams to ensure consistency, transparency, and best practices
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Required:

  • Must be presently authorized to work in the U.S. without a requirement for work authorization sponsorship by our company for this position now or in the future
  • 6+ years of related experience (Information Technology, Information Security, IT Compliance, Business Continuity, Disaster Recovery, and/ or equivalent)
  • Experience successfully managing people to include: career planning/ support, training, interviewing, hiring, rewarding, disciplining, and performance & salary reviews
  • Proven experience in leadership, with team-centric skills and strong solution orientation
  • Adept at improving outcomes through proactive coaching and development at all levels 
  • Knowledge of and/or experience with Cloud technologies
  • Must have a broad understanding of IT ecosystems and structure
  • Must have proven experience working across the IT organization to accomplish business objectives
  • Must have proven experience managing external vendors and service providers
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to effectively defend ideas and solutions, and convey complex information regarding risk and security issues in a manner that is easily understood and actionable
  • Excellent relationship management skills, specifically around managing conflict and resistance to change and the ability to create a non-adversarial atmosphere (be viewed as a partner)
  • Must be flexibile and agilie in relation to critical thinking and making decisions with complex considerations as it relates to business implications
  • Ability to challenge current solutions, determine appropriate solutions, and ensure there is alignment across the organization
  • Must be committed to incorporating security into all decisions and daily job responsibilities

Preferred:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Management Information Systems, or related field preferred
  • Strong knowledge of security industry standards such as ISO 22301, ISO 27001/02/17, NIST CSF, or PCI DSS is preferred
  • Experience with resiliency and recovery is preferred
  • Security related certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or CRISC is preferred
  • Strong knowledge of privacy regulations such as GDPR and CCPA is preferred
