Overview

  

The Enterprise truck Rental Division has an immediate opening for a Part Time Vehicle Service Attendant (VSA). Our Truck Rental Division provides transportation solutions within the commercial truck industry, renting business to business. Our goal is to provide high service levels and clean, well-maintained trucks. The VSA will be responsible for cleaning, detailing, and providing light maintenance on a diverse fleet of Medium- Duty trucks.

 

This is a part time position (25 hours) Our ideal candidate will be able to work the following schedule:

 

Schedule Hours: 25 hours

  • Sunday OFF
  • Monday 7AM - 1PM
  • Tuesday 7AM - 12PM
  • Wednesday OFF
  • Thursday 7AM - 12PM
  • Friday 7AM - 1PM
  • Saturday 8AM - 11AM 

 

This is a part time job, DOT requirements do not allow for moonlight (a 2nd job) while working in a safety sensitive position.

 

This opening is located in Lanham, MD. Pay for this position is $16.50 / hour

Responsibilities

Clean vehicle interior and exterior and also clean vehicle windshields, windows, mats, etc. 

  • Drive various vehicles safely and efficiently while on and off the lot and while assisting with local vehicle deliveries and miscellaneous job related duties 
  • Check and maintain fluid levels on all vehicles 
  • Notify manager of any potential unsafe equipment, conditions and vehicle problems
  • Perform basic maintenance such as tire pressure, check fluids, replace marker lights, the lift gate, etc. 
  • Keep work area, tools, and equipment organized and in clean and working condition
  • Maintain a regular and reliable level of attendance

Qualifications

  • Must be at least 21 years old.
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States and not requre work authorization sponsorship by our company for this position now or in the future.
  • Must have a valid US driver's license for a minimum of 1 year.
  • Must have 6 months of prior work experience or currently enrolled in college full time for a minimum of 6 months
  • Must have satisfactory background check inclusive of driving (no more than 2 moving violations and/or at fault accidents in the past 3 years, and no drug or alcohol related conviction on driving record in the last 3 years) criminal, employment reference, education, and social security. A conviction will not necessarily disqualify you for employment. Rather, such factors as age and date of conviction, seriousness and nature of the crime, and rehabilitation will be considered.
    • In accordance with Washington, DC law, applicants will not be asked about their criminal record, and no criminal background checks will be conducted, unless and until a contingent offer of employment has been extended.z
    • In accordance with Prince Georges County, MD and Montgomery County, MD law, applicants will not be asked about their criminal record and no criminal background checks will be conducted until after a successful first interview has been conducted.
  • Must be able to meet the physical requirements of the job (heavy lifting, vacuuming cars, bending down, moving quickly, and working outside) with or without reasonable accommodation.

We are subject to certain Department of Transportation Regulations

  • All applicants must be at least 21 years of age and be qualified to drive under D.O.T. regulations. Applicants will be required to submit an appropriate medical examiner's certificate, or submit to and successfully complete a D.O.T. medical examination.
