 We are currently looking for a Full-Time Truck Service Attendant (Truck Detailer) at our Truck Rental Location in Eagan, MN. The Truck Service Attendant cleans the trucks inside and out (vehicles may be cleaned by hand or by operating washing equipment), including the interior of the box. They also perform regular maintenance (non-mechanical services), transport vehicles, check safety features on trucks, conduct the cab-to-cab checklist on the vehicles, as well as other duties assigned by the manager, completed in a safe and timely manner. Candidates must be comfortable driving trucks up to 26,000 GVWR and approximately 38’ in overall length. This position requires commitment as interested applicants are subject to meeting DOT (Department of Transportation) requirements. Hourly pay for this position will be $12.00/hour plus the opportunity to earn monthly performance based bonuses.

Responsibilities

  • Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned
  • Maintain a regular and reliable level of attendance
  • Ensure exterior lights are working, including turn signals
  • Check integrity of the roof of the truck
  • Check for fire extinguisher and reflective triangles
  • Clean vehicle exterior by hand, brush or by operating washing equipment
  • Polish, dry and clean vehicle windshields, windows, lights, mats and exterior body, by hand
  • Vacuum, shampoo, add air freshener and clean vehicles interiors (some stain removal may be required)
  • Drive various vehicles to the appropriate parking position safely while using parking organization and efficiency
  • Determine need for and add windshield fluid, gas, oil, water, antifreeze, and all other applicable fluids
  • Notify Manager of any potential unsafe equipment, conditions and vehicle problems, as well as required daily maintenance needed
  • Perform basic maintenance check: antenna, under the hood, inside the vehicle, inside the trunk, antenna, the lift gate, and outside the Vehicle as outlined in the cab-to-cab checklist
  • May be responsible for maintaining an inventory of cleaning supplies
  • Keep work area, tools and equipment in clean and working condition
  • May assist with local vehicle deliveries
  • In accordance with job responsibilities, projects the proper Enterprise image (professional appearance)

 

 

Qualifications

  • Must be at least 21 years old
  • Must have a current and valid U.S. driver license for at least 1 year
  • Given the nature of our job requirements, a drug or alcohol related conviction on your driving record in the last five years will disqualify you from employment.  A careless driving conviction in the last 3 years will also disqualify you from employment.
  • Given the nature of our job requirements, more than 1 moving violation (i.e. speeding ticket, failure to stop) on your driving record in the last three years will disqualify you from employment.  
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States and not require work authorization sponsorship by our company for this position now or in the future.
  • Must be comfortable with a starting pay of $12 per hour
  • Apart from religious observation, must be able to work Monday through Friday 7:00am-5:00pm.

  • All applicants must be at least 21 years of age and be qualified to drive under D.O.T. regulations. Applicants will be required to submit an appropriate medical examiner's certificate, or submit to and successfully complete a D.O.T. medical examination.
