Enterprise Holdings has an exciting opportunity for a Benefits Project Specialist in the Corporate Employee Benefits Department. The Benefits Project Specialist is primarily responsible for managing special projects which include performing research, developing work plans, and managing projects to obtain desired results on various benefit efforts. This person will also manage special projects related to our global benefit plans which could involve working with existing vendors, establishing new relationships or research other viable partnerships needed to meet company goals and objectives.  This position will be involved in establishing benefit plan objectives, developing project plans, working with Benefit team on projects, and ensuring compliance with various benefit laws, company standards and industry best practices.  

 

This position is located at our Corporate Headquarters in Clayton, MO. 

Responsibilities

  • Work with the Benefit Team to understand business needs and then translate those needs into project plans.
  • Investigate, identify and analyze key issues and develop workable solutions
  • Monitor, analyze and provide recommendations for benefit plans enhancements or changes and present recommendations to management
  • Evaluate business requests to determine feasibility; research and identify options that best serve business needs
  • Ensure contract terms and requirements are compliant with company and legal standards.
  • Collaborate with internal legal counsel and other corporate teams to ensure we are in compliance with data protection regulations and comply with company standards
  • Provide assistance with project management by developing statements of work, ensuring compliance with key contract terms such as renewals, audits and other action items
  • Monitor, track and report on industry-related topics affecting benefit regulations
  • Conduct research on existing or potential vendors, keep abreast of legislation and other sourcing related items that could or should impact our contracts and use this information to make routine updates to management
  • Research and understand legal aspects of global Benefits Administration
  • Develop and lead projects in response to HR/Benefits business needs; manage each phase of the project; identify and resolve problems; facilitate the development of requirements; establish and maintain milestone and regularly provide updates to management
  • Monitor, analyze and provide recommendations for process efficiencies and enhancements of health and welfare benefit plans
  • Analyze vendor activity, identify trends and propose recommendations for improvement
  • Implement new initiatives; develop and lead implementation work plans/meetings with vendors and the Benefit team.
  • Assess business needs/requirements and the nature of our relationship with the vendor, determine the appropriate contract type and/or contractual provisions necessary to meet business needs/requirements
  • Oversee HIPAA compliance which includes developing and conducting HIPAA training.
  • Manage special projects as needed

 

 

 

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • A minimum of five (5) or more years of experience with administering employee benefits either in an employer or consulting setting required
  • Global benefits experience is a plus
  • Project Management experience is a plus
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States and not require work authorization sponsorship by our company for this position now or in the future
